For more than 140 years, Hawaiian Commercial & Sugar Company (HC&S) and its founding companies have played a critical role in the growth and well-being of the island of Maui and its people.

As a major partner with the community, HC&S is one of the largest private employers in Maui County, currently providing jobs and benefits to more than 800 men and women. In addition to being Hawaii's only producer of raw and specialty sugar, today we generate enough electrical power to handle all our plantation needs and to provide 7-8% of all the electric power used annually on Maui.
